Annual General Meeting

The 2011 Annual General Meeting was held on 18 June 2011 at the IVP office, 499 Elizabeth St, Surry Hills. We are very pleased to have a number of new faces on the committee for the next 12 months, and welcome them warmly.

The Annual General Meeting received reports on the work and operations of IVP for the past year. Many thanks to Louise Mitchell (humanrevolution.com.au) and Louise O'Connor (taabu.com.au) for producing such a beaut document.  The AGM also resulted in a new constitution being endorsed. You can read and download the constitution from our website.

The new committee meets each month on a fortnightly basis. Members of IVP are always welcome to attend and participate in discussions. Please see committee meeting details for particulars. We also suggest that you contact the office if you are thinking of attending, just to confirm dates, times and the place of the meeting.

International Day of Peace

The International Day of Peace (also known as World Peace Day) occurs on 21 September each year. It was first declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 1981. In 2009 IVP held a gathering of organisations and peace-minded individuals to consider concepts of peace, and how we can better connect as activists.
