Questions

Do I need to be a member to join a workcamp?

It depends where you live. If you are an Australian citizen or resident, you apply for projects through IVP and need to be a member. If you aren’t, you don’t join IVP: contact the SCI branch or partner in your own country (see the SCI branch list).

Do I get my membership fee back if I cancel a workcamp?

No. IVP keeps your membership fee. You stay a member, keep receiving news about events and can apply for other workcamps.

Where can I find answers about fees, travel, visas and life on a workcamp?

Fees and payment are explained on the Projects page. Travel, visas, insurance and living conditions are covered in our Guide to international volunteering.
