We want to share with you our digital workcamp “This is Peace to Me”, which will bring together approximately 15 participants from different countries, from all continents! We are very enthusiastic about it, and we hope that you will find it interesting and useful!
The objective is to collaboratively develop a timeline illustrating how wars have affected the environment and human lives, while also highlighting the role of volunteer groups in reducing inequalities and promoting values such as respect, mutual understanding, solidarity, and collective action. These elements aim to strengthen the sense of peaceful coexistence among people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Participants will work in small, internationally mixed groups to further examine the devastating environmental consequences of war. Based on visual material (photographs), each group will create artistic outputs (in any form or medium) that will form part of a digital anti-war exhibition.
The exhibition will present the historical timeline through photographs, accompanied by the participants’ artistic creations, which will serve as interpretative narratives. On the last day of the project, an online final event will be organized. During this event, participants will present their experiences to the public, who will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition online.
Local stakeholders and organizations promoting non-violent conflict resolution—both at the level of international relations and interpersonal relationships—will be invited to participate. The implementation of the project consists of group meetings (3 hours each) and homework in small groups. The group meetings will take place on these days:

Expected results:
- Raising awareness among both local and digital communities on issues related to war and environmental consciousness
- Fostering collaboration between people from different countries on matters of peace
- Promoting alternatives to militarism through the advancement of civic service models that have benefited both communities and the environment
- A virtual exhibition
- An open digital space where people share their own visions of peace through stories, art, photographs, and dialogue, building connections across cultures and borders.
Participant’s profile
We aim to bring together participants from as many countries and continents as possible to ensure a rich diversity of perspectives, experiences, and contributions. Our goal is to achieve broad international representation, ideally from all continents.
Participants have to be
- creative and willing to work in teams in a digital environment.
- interested in the topics of peace building, arts and resistance, the political dimension of arts focusing on photography and the consequences of wars.
- respectful and behave with dignity and empathy to the other people in the team.
- able to have access to good internet connection.
